Citizens association ASSOCIATION OF THE FRIENDS OF TURZOVKA was founded on November 20, 1998. Founding charter was signed on July 17, 1999 and statutes are registered under no. VVS/1-900/90-14681 at the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak republic.

A. Name of the association: ASSOCIATION OF THE FRIENDS OF TURZOVKA

B. Seat of the association: TURZOVKA, Jašíková 56

C. Goal of the association:

1. To associate citizens linked to Turzovka by native or any other relationship that want to contribute directly or indirectly with their efforts to universal development of the city in the name of the association.
2. To seek archives, objects and findings related to the history of the city, release them and open them to the general public and encourage the activities of the local government.
3. To prepare and publish publications, almanacs and propagation materials about the city, put Turzovka on the map, organize meetings of natives of Turzovka, financially and materially support all the activities that are identical with the goals of this association.
4. To support education by granting scholarships on grounds of separate statutes and grant public assistance.

D. Membership in the association:

1. Any natural person that has reached the age of 18 can become a member of the association, regardless of place of residence, citizenship or nationality. Member must identify with the program of the association and its statutes and pay enrolment fee and membership fee. Enrolment fee and membership fee are fixed by executive committee.

(Enrolment fee is 17 € and membership fee is paid following year. The amount of membership fee is not fixed, but left to voluntary decision or possibilities of a member. Membership fee is paid with voucher till the end of May of current year.)

2. Membership in the association comes into force after approval of application by executive committee. Membership is proved with membership card, registered by executive committee.
3. Every member of the association has a right to vote on meetings, to vote bodies of the association, to be elected to bodies of the association and to participate in the work of the association.
4. Every member has obligation to actively work in the association in accordance with statutes and participate in fulfilling of goals of the association.
5. Membership of the association terminates by leaving, cancelation or death.
6. Leaving from the association is performed by delivery of written notification and returning of membership card to executive committee or by public announcement about leaving from the association.
7. Membership of the association is canceled, if a member seriously breaks statutes of the association, does not fulfill personally accepted obligations and duties or endangers activity of the association by his actions and does not contribute to spreading of the good name of the association. The supreme body of the association decides about a cancelation of the membership.
8. Former member of the association loses all the rights and obligations towards the association by terminating of the membership.

E. Bodies of the association:

1. The supreme body of the association is meeting of members.
2. The executive body of the association is executive committee.
3. The statutory body of the association is president, who is at the same time also the chairman of executive committee.
4. Revision committee.

Means of appointment of bodies of the association and their powers

Meeting of members is the supreme body of the association

-decides about establishment, merging and termination of the association

-adopts statutes, their changes and alterations

-approves annual report and program of activities

-approves budget and economic report

-decides about cancelation of the association

-decides about cancelation of membership in the association

-votes and removes members of executive committee, president and revision committee

Executive committee is responsible to meeting of members for their activities

-manages activities of the association between meetings of meeting of members

-accepts new members of the association

-calls an prepares content and basic materials for meeting of members

President is the statutory body of the association. At the same time, he is also the chairman of executive committee and represents the association outwards.

-he is elected and removed by meeting of member

-vice-president (deputy of the president) is elected by executive committee

Revision committee is the supervisory body of the association and is responsible to meeting of members for its activities.

-membership in revision committee is incompatible with a membership in any other body of the association

-supervises economic activities and management of the association, warns bodies of the association about deficiencies and suggests measures to remove these deficiencies

-also supervises compliance with statutes and inner regulations

Term of office of all the bodies of the association is four years that accounts for the period of time between two World meetings of Turzovka-ers and their descendants, in case meeting of members does not decide otherwise for urgent reasons.

F. Principles of management

-economic activities take place in accordance with approved budget and with binding legal regulations

-the association manages only movable assets

-sources of income and assets of the associations are:

1. annual membership fees
2. donations from natural persons
3. subsidies and grants from legal persons
4. yields on assets and own activities

Yields on assets and own activities may be used only to support goals of the association.

G. Termination of the association

Meeting of members decides about termination of the association, its merging or voluntary dissolution. Meeting of members appoints liquidator (liquidation committee).

At first, liquidator must settle all debts. Liquidation balance is dealt with according to a decision of meeting of members.

Termination of the association must be reported within 15 days after finishing of liquidation to Ministry of Interior of the Slovak republic together with minutes of the meeting of members and cancelation request from register of citizens associations.
