was founded as the legal successor of defunct Foundation 400 years of Turzovka.
Our history

Preparatory committee prepared statutes of the new citizens association and the Ministry of Interior registered it on November 20, 1998 under no. VVS/1-900/90-14681. Constitutive annual meeting of members took place in Turzovka on July 17, 1999. All the bodies of this association were elected and the association started its official activities on this meeting.

The association associates citizens that are linked to Turzovka by native or any other relationship. In the name of the association, these citizens contribute directly or indirectly with their efforts to universal development of the city.
Our activity
The association seeks archives, objects and findings related to the history of the city. It also releases them and opens them to the wide public. The association prepares and publishes publications, almanacs and propagation materials about the city, puts Turzovka on the map home and broad, organizes meetings of natives of Turzovka, cultural and social events. The association cooperates with local government, city institutions (Cultural and social center, City museum of Karol Točík), parish and all the organizations, whose goals are identical with the goals of the association.
